Gienanth donates for flood disaster

Gienanth supports the Donnersberger Initiative für Menschen in Not e.V. in its fundraising campaign for flood victims in the Ahrweiler district. The employees and the company jointly collected 7,000€ at the Eisenberg/Pfalz site for the flood disaster. The donation was presented to the initiative's chairman Professor Dr. Jamill Sabbagh by the management and the works council chairmen on November 23, 2021.

On July 14 and 15, 2021, a severe flood disaster occurred in northern Rhineland-Palatinate. The village of Dernau in the Ahrtal was particularly hard hit. Even today, people from the village are scattered 70 - 80 km in the surrounding area and have no permanent home. Without hesitation, the Donnersberger Initiative für Menschen in Not e.V. reacted and started a fundraising campaign for the benefit of those who were particularly hard hit in the village of Dernau. Until today the considerable sum of 222,222€ was collected, which "really socially weak families of the place benefits" so Jamill Sabbagh, executive committee of the Donnersberger initiative for humans in emergency registered association, with the today's donation delivery in Eisenberg/Pfalz. For it the initiative provides and hands over on Saturday, 27.11.2021, the collected donations personally to the social committee of the municipality Dernau.
