Acquisition of Zaigler

Diversification is a substantial focus of our current decade. In order to meet our customers' needs for ready-to-install products more efficiently, Gienanth Group has acquired the Zaigler Maschinenbau GmbH.

The CEO Stefan Zaigler and his team have made Zaigler one of the leading machining companies for large and complex components weighing up to 50 tons. For over 60 years, Zaigler, based in Kulmbach in northern Bavaria, has been a strong presence in the fields of drilling, turning, milling. They specialize in the machining of cylinder crankcases for large engines, one of the core business areas of the Gienanth Group. Furthermore, Zaigler has extensive experience in machining components for mechanical and plant engineering as well as the wind power industry.

Zaigler's pursuit is to meet any requirements with experience, know-how and absolute efficiency. With a production area of more than 9,000 m² and more than 100 highly qualified employees, the company, which operates as a contract manufacturer, has established a prominent reputation worldwide. Zaigler specializes in meeting the demands of its international customers and fulfilling any machining requirements to the highest quality.

Through the merger, the Gienanth Group's existing iron-cast product solutions are optimized by downstream value-added steps. Therefore, complex components from 0.1 kg to 15 tons can now be offered ready-to-install by us as a single source. The services of Gienanth Steyr Metallbearbeitung, with its focus on components with a clamping of up to 600mm, are optimally complemented by Zaigler with its core competence in machining of large components with a length of up to 15 metres.
